Want to do something for
Pregnancy Resource Center East??
And get some really good ideas that are
fun and will really benefit the Center.
281-427-2273
Here are a couple of suggestions.
-
Your group can come and spend a morning doing projects at the Center. There's always bagging diapers, labeling pamphlets, folding, stapling and other fund things.
-
Painting is in order for this summer, if you're good with a brush and roller.
Pre-teen/Teen Website
There is a website mainly for teens to visit. The mail topics include: sex, relationships, body image, drugs and alcohol, school, and "talk about it."
"There is Help!"
1.800.395.HELP is operated 24/7 by trained counselors who can talk with troubled teens who may have a pregnancy related issue. Teens can be connected to a pregnancy center closest to their home. The web site www.teenbreaks deals with issues of relationships, STDs, sexual abuse, cutting, teen pregnancy and more.
Baby Moses Law
A girl can leave her baby up to 60 days old in a designated, safe haven, (hospitals or fire stations) and remain anonymous. She would not be charged with abandonment and the baby would be cared for.
